I'm loving Twitter
I just thought I'd write a little bit about the lovely Twitter. What a killer app it is :)
By the term 'killer app' I don't mean that the app will kill you, but that it's just one of those apps that has changed the face of society. Much like Hotmail, Google, eBay, and Facebook. There are many more that I could write about but you'd get bored.
What's made me blog about Twitter today is that I'm amazed that the gap has been the general public and celebrities has been made smaller by a messaging system.
I've sent hundreds of messages to many of my friends and many famous people or 'celebrities'. It still makes me smile when I get a reply from a tv personality or comedian, or actor etc.
I started to Follow @team_barrowman this morning which is John Barrowman who plays Capt. Jack Harkness in Torchwood. I sent him a tweet at lunchtime and he replied. I was gobsmacked. Twitter is brilliant in that I'd never have been able to have to contact people I see on television. I realise that in reality they're just normal people who've been lucky enough to get a good job. Although they may have worked hard to get where they are. I'm not jealous at all haha. Well, maybe a little bit ;)
I read a tweet not so long ago which made so much sense it said 'Facebook is for people you were friends with and Twitter is for people you want to be friends with'. It rings so true :)
Anyway I hope my ramble made some sense. Probably not lol. I'm gonna go now :)
Thanks for reading.
