The Chris Moyles Show

This week has been good for me again. People may not know that I love the Chris Moyles Show on BBC Radio 1 but I do and I'd do anything to be part of the show. Chris and his team, last week, had given his listeners a challenge to get funny names mentioned on air - be it radio or television.

This feature has been run before when someone text into the show calling themselves Toby Larone (Tobelerone). They thought this was funny and had asked their listeners to get Toby mentions on other radio shows. This spiraled out of control and has other funny names thrown into the mix.

So as they are doing this again I decided to have a go myself. I text into the Scott Mills show but wasn't successful as he was more interested in playing music from the Radio 1 Playlist. So last Saturday 21/7/2012 I thought i'd give it another go. We were listening to Vernon Kay on Radio 1 and I thought it would be funny to try and get him to read out a fake name. I had looked at a few comical names online the day before and plucked for Doug Witherspoon as this sounds like "dug with a spoon". Vernon read this name out at 12:44pm and I was elated that my fake name had been read out. Later I emailed Chris Moyles and hoped that he would use it on his show.

Chris played it on his show twice this week. Also I got Question 5 correct on Robe DJ's Monday Night Pub Quiz too and had my name read out again :) hurrah!
